He had walked with the mare for quite some time to reach the lands that he would now welcome her into. Luckily the pregnant mare had not been too far away from the forest to begin with otherwise they may have had to stop and rest far more than he would have liked to. He was excited about showing her his home that, for a long while, he had lived in secluded from the rest of the world. This is where his mother had left him when he was still young and it was here that he had grown into the fine stud that he was today. He had never before shared his home with anyone else and the thought was both unsettling and also exciting. He radiated with a new energy but inwardly he was calm. He felt a certain peace about allowing this mare to stay here.
He glanced at her from the corner of his eye and felt a warm smile cross his face as his eyes came to rest upon her swelling stomach, evidence of her unborn child. Although he had only just come to know this travel weary lady, he already felt a bond forming with her. He felt strangely protective of the mare and her child, he couldn't explain why but he settled to think that it was his leadership instinct kicking in and that he would now feel a relatively strong connection to anyone he took under his wing. "Welcome, Raven. To the Sanctuary." He said in his strong soothing voice. Sanctuary... The name was fitting for it had been a sanctuary to jackal for many a year from the harmful things of the outside world and he hoped it would prove to be a proper sanctuary for this mare's child as well.

Ravens eyes widened and she let out a soft sigh of relief as they finally entered his lands. She glanced over to him and smiled. "Its Beautiful here Jackal" she said softly. Her unborn child kicked, she winced slightly, and shook out her mane. She glanced to Jackal and smiled. "The little one is Anxious to get out" she said with a soft laugh, She swished her tail against her flanks, and then turned her dial and scratched an itch on her side with her horn She straightened back up and looked around her new home. ((Blah sorry)

His warm smile grew with her mention of the child. Even though it wasn't his, the prospect of having a child living here was quite exciting to him. He couldn't wait to see what kind of youngling would be born of this mare Raven, and he hoped she would allow him to watch it grow with her despite there short acquaintance. He wanted to get to know her more, but also he wanted to get to know her baby. He wanted to see its first days. Once again he felt that strange itching at the back of his mind that he was suddenly protective of this stranger. What was he thinking about? He didn't even know this mare very well. Still the feeling remained and showed no promise of subsiding anytime soon.
"It would seem, Raven, that we met just in time. I can't imagine the trouble you would have gone through had you not found a safe place for rest and shelter during your late days of pregnancy." He said reflecting on how weary she was when he first saw her, and how some of the weight she had seemed to be burdened with appeared to have vanished with the knowledge that she no longer had to beware of the wilderness. He hoped that she had come to trust him and that she knew she could rely on his help through this difficult time. For child birth always had it's unspoken dangers that plagued the minds of any and all who thought of venturing into motherhood.
