Long effortless strides carried the bulk mass of the black brute hurtling over the lands. His black mane rising and falling in rhythm with his thunderous hooves. Crown shook wildly as he let the wind slash his face enjoying the feeling of freedom that came with the speed of his run and the wind rushing against his body with all the might to uproot a tree. An insatiable energy coursed through the very fabrication of his being eating every action only to give him another burst as he continued his ceaseless run. An unexplainable joy fueled him and he felt empowered beyond reason. At the peak of his run he felt himself being drawn into action, without the ability to retain his excitement he raised to his full height and released a powerful bellow into the air, his forelegs striking out at the air before him.
He didn't remember what had driven him to take this leisurely run. He couldn't think of a single thought that had run through his head all morning. He only knew that today was a good day to be living and that he only hoped today could get better.

She was knew, that was for sure. But this didnt bother the ebony as she walked around claiming. Grunting, twin towers pereked. Her optics were a emerald green, against that darkened pelt. She popped!, outta the rest of the crowd. Nape arched as she lipped the grass, allowing the breeze to over come her long silk like banners. This was poetic tragedy, or lyric if you so wished. She was the bloodline of the tragedy's not a bloodline she would opening talk bout, nonetheless claim to be. She was.... lets say different? Flared nostrils snorted, there was a new scent in the area. A scent she hadnt smelt until now. Unsure of the new arrival... Lyric pondered for a good three minutes til finally she gave out a whicker. She watched her surroundings good, making sure she hadnt just made a huge mistake for her life... She liked living, she wanted to continue to live.... Shaking out her mane, she waiting. The sun rays bounced of the equines back, the warmth caused a smile to appear on her mug. Today was a beautiful day, She was three years old, so the thought of running, playing sounded more fun then awaiting this stranger. But, be mature and calm like her mother had always told her bout ,she awaited even more "two more minutes.." she whispered to herself. Emerald optics layin upon a butterfly fluttering with the breeze. Lips parted, stretching out her nape towards the winged creature. Snorting..

Nares flared as he came back to earth from his previous two-legged stance. His ears flattened as the scent of another entered his nostrils. At first he became alert. His muscles tensed, eyes widened, breathing shallowed, heart quickened. The change in atmosphere was soon forgotten however as he noticed that the scent held a certain femininity. Aye, it was a mare. He allowed himself to relax with the newly found realization but he wasn't so arrogant as to forget that he should still remain alert. A mare could prove just as dangerous as any stallion. He hoped, however, to find himself in the presence of a lady as opposed to one of those irritating chicks that overreact to the words you speak and act as though every move you make is an insult directed at them. He shuddered at the very thought of an encounter with one of those haughty brats. He shrugged the thought and proceeded towards the scent.
His movement were cautious as he made his way over the crest of a hill where on the other side, he knew, awaited the stranger that he had managed to sniff out only moments ago. His breath caught in his chest at the sight of the strange colored mare. Her black coat stood out against the green grass of the field which, in contrast, also caused her stunning eyes to be brought to the surface. Within the first moment he spotted her time seemed to be still and he was able to capture every detail within that short span of time before the butterfly managed to gain a second wing beat. Her ebon coat softly touched with white enhancements, her breathtaking green eyes looking almost tender as she observed the fair creature before her and her onyx forelock gently caressing the cheek of her beautiful features. It was a sight to move you, but despite his inwardly feelings, his outward appearance looked upon the mare with indifference.
He had one of the meanest poker face's ever known and it was both a blessing and a curse, luckily most lady's found him to be quite the charmer, and in this case, he was most certainly looking to charm. He descended from the hill on which he had previously observed her until he came to stand a short distance away. "Why hello there deary." His lyrics were cool as eyes and smooth as silk, his voice surprisingly soft although not in a creepy manner but almost in a warm way. His voice was handsome and inviting and his build and overall features were not so different. "What brings such a fine and rare beauty to land so lonesome? Surely you have somewhere you belong." His words were well spoken as though with practice and each word he directed to her was colored with a thick layer of charming flattery. His overall presence... intoxicating.

Crown quickly turned at the sound of vocals, optics looked the ebony brute over as she perked her ears forward. She was curious all of a sudden, though in a positive way, switching her banner, the mare smiled. "well hello to you as well good sir". Her own lyrics were soft and soothing to the ear, never could you imagine her voice to be raised or cursed words escape from her maw. Emerald optics looked towards him once more as she bobbed her dial and took a few steps forward. For a mare, she was rather well built. Her bodice was stocky, though between the tall and short side. Her chest and hind quarters were rather roundly big. A perfect round fat rump and chest as others might say. She held white speckles from shoulders, to beneath the neck and up to behind her ears. As well a white circles around those luscious green eyes. Rare? quit!. Taking in a few more steps the ebony nape upon the mare stretched, as flared nostrils moved closer towards the brute. Lyric made sure she remained closely away from him, but indeed wanted to take in his scent once, at least once. "Belong too?." she questioned, slightly tilting her dial "no sure..." she paused... Did dhe tell him she was new "Im new around these parts" well apparently so... She smiled, withdrawing her nape back to normal form "Poetic Tradegy" she paused once more, giving a slightly bow in introduction "your majesty". Honey like vocals finally faded off, awaiting his reponse

He wasn't surprised when she called him 'your majesty' it was often that most would guess him to be a leader. The title still pleased him though, and the fact that it was she whom had uttered it only made it better. He couldn't say that he was a leader of a magnificent herd, for although the lands he had claimed his own were indeed without compare, his ranks itself were still a little on the low side. He had not yet gathered any herd members and was truly hoping to do so. As for a mate... He had none, but at the moment he was content with that knowledge. He didn't know if he yet even desired to have one. He had never had an issue with loneliness but perhaps one day that would change. Either way, the situation remained that he was in need of her members and that he was currently searching them out with vigor.
"Poetic Tragedy..." He allowed each syllable to roll smoothly out of his mouth savoring the taste of each one before letting it loose."I quite like the sound of that." He said with a small charming smile falling upon his princely features. "New around here?" It was not really a question only he had never met anyone from outside the borders of the whole that made up helladius lands. A new interest sparkled in his honey hued eyes. "We my darling it would appear to me that you should become properly acquainted with another of your kind. Perhaps you shall find my own company to your liking...?" Although it had been placed to her as a statement he was actually quite curious as to what she thought of him thus far. He had been charming and courteous, flattering and yet remained to play the part of a gentlemen. Indeed he had done well for the most part, at least how he read it, but he wondered if she felt differently.
"My name, dear lady, is Jackal. I govern over the Forest of Shadows." He spoke calmly with a well practiced tongue. He would wait to invite her to his home until after they had spent more time together but the intention was still there. He wished to bring her to his home, and make her his family, but for now he would not be hasty. "Do you like to swim?" The seemingly random question produced itself almost before he had noticed. It almost shocked him as he had only barely time enough to think of the question before he had asked it. That was something anyone would have to get used to around him though, his mouth was always ten seconds before his brain.

Ears perked, listening to his words, optics scanned over him once more. He wasnt scary, nor of a handsome brute... She felt confront with him, which was a good thing, protection was all she ever wanted from another, though to get things right, she didnt have to have someone beside her. She was strong by herself.... Eyes moved up, locking on his own as she gave another smile "I wouldnt mind..." lyrics faded as she looked towards the direction... She had captured his name, though pondered.. Did she really want to be claimed... a home would be nice, she would be able to rest without looking over her shoulders every six minutes. Crown bobbed "i love swimming" she replied.

He was very pleased with her response to his question and a seemingly childlike energy filled him. He bobbed his head once as she answered her question. "Would you perhaps enjoy joining me in a swim than? I know a nice little pool not far from here. The bottom is filled with river rocks so the water stays pure and cool." He tried to conceal his growing excitement but even so every word he spoke radiated with a certain energetic likeness. It had been quite some time since he had held the company of another and he wanted to make the most of this encounter. He only hoped that his sudden straight forwardness wouldn't frighten her away. He was simply excited, that's all. He couldn't help but anticipate what would come of this meeting and so he was doing the best he could to make her feel comfortable in his presence but perhaps he was too comfortable in hers. He normally tried to hold himself at a leading perspective in the eyes of others, but something about this mare brought out the child in him. He hoped she would not think lesser of him for it. It had been too long since he was able to show this side of himself and for the time being he would be grudged to hide it. He just wanted to have some fun, and right now, the sun beating on his hide and the warm breeze blowing against his massive black sleek body, swimming seemed like the right thing to do. Tossing his handsome mane, he waited somewhat impatiently for her response hoping it would have a positive effect on their meeting.

The mare chuckled, picking up his sudden change of energy. She moved closer, lipping his shoulders before bobbing her dial "lead the way" she quickly responded. She had loved the swim when she was younger, her herd mates and her all would jump in the creeks or river beds just to fill the coolness of the water upon their backs... but, that was ages ago as it felt. So as it might have been seen, she was quick shocked, yet pleased he had asked her to join in a swim.

He didn't shy away from her touch. In fact, he quite welcomed it. He might not be on the market for a mate but there was no doubting her obvious attractiveness. Any stallion would be a fool to pretend that the touch of a beautiful mare was not to be desired. He didn't let his thoughts show through though as he didn't much like the thought of her assuming he was just as perverted a stallion as any. Truth be told he was not, he acknowledged the fact that he enjoyed the company of a beautiful lady but he wouldn't act on things as such without proper restraint.
He smiled, a charming, handsome smile, and set forth at a gentle but up beat trot. His original excitement beaming as he did so. The pool was not far from where they had met each other but it did take them through a small patch of woods until they thinned out and formed a circle around a decently large clearing, in the center of which was a large clear pool. The water was clean as it was fed by a small stream that grew into a large open water and then closed to another small stream leading away from the pool and weaving back into the forest. The water seemed lively as small animals lapped from it here and there creating small circular wave patterns that crept across the face of the water. Light streamed in from overhead but was still blocked by the trees a good ways into the open but it gave the earth a twilight appeal and set quite the romantic mood on the water.
He didn't seemed to notice that, however, as without hesitation he leaped straight into the pool splashing water and sending animals scurrying as he did so. The water was cool on his legs but he could still feel the warmth of the sun on his back from underneath the water. It was a perfect temperature and it made him feel more alive than ever before. He dipped his snout and head under water for a brief moment feeling the cool liquid rush over him. "Come join me!" he called to Lyric from the water as he continued to splash around like a young colt flirting with a filly. "It feels great." He encouraged once more.
